5 Steps to convert Your LinkedIn Profile into a Powerful Landing Page

Updated your LinkedIn recently but not seeing results?

It's likely your profile needs optimising to attract your ideal clients.

Have a Client Focused Headline

Craft a professional headline (the tagline after your name) that clearly communicates your value proposition for your clients. Use keywords that your client would use and phrases that solve the problem your ideal client has.

Tip: Your headline is always editable, give it an update then ask others for feedback. You can always update it again!

Use your Banner like a mini Billboard

A clean, easy-to-read background banner with a statement about your business or your latest offer works well in this space. Keep it professional by using your  business brand colours

Remember on desktop that your profile image covers some of the left hand side of the banner. And, on mobile, the words are small so use less words and a large font.

Talk about your services in your Experience Section

Use your current Experience section to list your product or service and how it helps your ideal client.

Tip: Add Media links from your website.  These appear as thumbnail images on your Current Experience section, adding attractive visuals. Use the "edit" pencil on your Experience section, scroll to "Add media".

Add "Ways to work with Me" in your Featured posts

You can add posts, links or media to your "Featured posts" section. I recommend using this for links back to your products or services on your website including your website landing page which shares "Ways to work with Me".

Tip: Check the linked thumbnails show attractively on your profile, it helps to be consistent with either adding Links or Images, not a combination of both.

Ask for Client Reviews in the Recommendations section

Regularly ask previous clients for LinkedIn recommendations and share them as a post. Social credibility is important for standing out in your market.

Tip:  Create a step in your off-boarding process to send a recommendation request to your client and follow up with a friendly email if needed.

Taking the time to optimise your LinkedIn profile as a personal landing page effectively communicates your value turning your profile into a powerful landing page!
